Diesel and DressX: Metaverse Fashion Team-Up

Fashion enthusiasts, get ready to embrace the future of style as Diesel, the iconic Italian fashion brand, joins forces with digital fashion house DressX to launch an exclusive collection on the Meta Avatars Store. This exciting collaboration brings together the world of high fashion and the metaverse, offering fashion-forward individuals a unique opportunity to adorn their virtual selves with Diesel’s signature denim pieces.

The Meta Avatars Store, known for hosting luxury brands like Valentino, Balenciaga, Prada, and Thom Browne, has now added Diesel to its prestigious roster. Under the creative direction of Glenn Martens, Diesel’s exclusive virtual collection will spotlight the brand’s timeless denim offerings.

This collection comprises ten iconic Diesel designs, carefully selected from the brand’s real-world lineup. Avatars in the metaverse can now don Diesel’s legendary denim jackets, jeans, and trainers, allowing them to flaunt their virtual ensembles across popular social platforms like Instagram, Facebook, Messenger, and Quest VR.

Stefano Rosso, Board Member of Diesel’s parent company, OTB Group, and CEO of OTB’s metaverse division BVX, expressed his enthusiasm about this innovative collaboration, saying, “This collaboration with DressX represents an exciting chapter for Diesel and remarks its commitment to engaging technology with fashion.” He added that Diesel’s vision for the future includes developing exclusive virtual items, showcasing the brand’s dedication to the metaverse.

Rosso emphasized the importance of a holistic approach, stating, “We aim for the future to develop exclusive items just for our virtual presence.” However, he also stressed the value of a 360-degree strategy, where the brand’s physical and digital outputs are harmonized. Hence, the selection of pieces from Glenn Martens’ most recent collection, which is currently available in Diesel’s physical stores.

Meanwhile, DressX, which successfully raised a remarkable $15 million in a Series A funding round in March, has been making waves in the metaverse fashion scene. Last year, they introduced their own branded collection on the Meta Avatars Store and embarked on collaborations with real-world fashion brands.

As fashion continues to evolve in the digital realm, Diesel’s partnership with DressX marks a significant step towards bridging the gap between the physical and virtual worlds of style. It’s a thrilling glimpse into the future where fashion knows no boundaries, and virtual wardrobes become as essential as the ones in our closets.
