From the Runway to AI: A New Way of Interpreting Men's Fashion Trends

The world of fashion is constantly evolving and the latest collaboration between designer Willie Norris and artist Zak Krevitt is a testament to this. The two came together to interpret the Fall 2023 menswear season through the lens of artificial intelligence.

José Criales-Unzueta documented the trends from the menswear season and shared the images with Krevitt, who fed them into a custom AI model he had created. The result was 11 unique looks that synthesized the collections.

Krevitt explains that the AI is not replacing the traditional trend report or attempting to supplant anyone's editorial eye but rather is an exploration of data science in fashion. The AI model analyzed the collections and extracted patterns, themes, and color palettes to create new and original outfits.

The collaboration between Norris and Krevitt showcases the potential for AI to provide new perspectives and interpretations in the fashion industry. However, it is important to note that the real thing, the actual runway collections, will always have a soul and spirit that cannot be replicated by AI.

This project serves as a reminder of the limitless possibilities for AI in the fashion world and the potential for collaboration between designers and technology experts to push the boundaries of creativity.
