Tech startup Humane has given a preview of its first product, the Ai Pin, scheduled for release on October 14, 2023, the same day of the solar eclipse. The Ai Pin is a wearable device designed with an AI-powered interface and a projected display.

Humane's Chairman and President, Imran Chaudhri, along with co-founder and CEO Bethany Bongiorno, shared a video on the company's official Discord channel, hinting at the capabilities of the Ai Pin. Chaudhri briefly demonstrated potential applications, including AI-driven summaries of emails and notifications, real-time language translation, and food label scanning.

One key feature of the Ai Pin is its ability to function independently, eliminating the need for tethering to a smartphone. The device's design emphasizes user-friendliness and aims to address concerns about overdependence on phones.

Humane has offered a glimpse of several features expected from the Ai Pin:

- Projected display for user interface

- AI-powered functions like email summarization and translation

- Standalone capability, reducing reliance on smartphones

The Ai Pin's details remain undisclosed, and its potential impact on the wearable technology sector will only become apparent after its official launch.
